To change the header in a CSV File
Step 1: Open your file with a dedicated CSV Editor - Rons Data Edit
First things first, make sure you use the correct application to edit your CSV files; you can download Rons Data Edit, for free, right here: Download.
Your CSV file can be opened using the 'Open Document' File menu, or 'Open Document' link on the Start Page of the application.
Step 2a: Make a Row into the File Header
- Select the row or any cell on it.
- Click on 'Make Row Header' in the menu.
- Right click on the row header with the mouse.
- Select 'Make Row Header' from the pop-up menu.
To change the header of the CSV File, look for the 'Rows' tab in the ribbon bar at the top of the window and click on it.
On the right side of the ribbon, two row changes options are displayed: “Make Row Header” and “Make Header Row”.
If you would like to make a row into the header:
Step 2b: Make the Header into a Row
- Click 'Make Header Row'.
- Right click on the column header with the mouse.
- Select 'Make Header Header' from the pop-up menu.

Step 3: Save the File

When satisfied with the changes, make sure to save the document by clicking on
the 'Save' button at the top left corner of the main window or by clicking the
'Save' button on the 'Home' tab of the ribbon bar.
