In September 2019 we decided to change the name of "Rons Data Cleaner" to "Rons Data Cleanser" in order to bring more clarity to the purpose of the application.
Even if there is fundamentally nothing wrong with the word "Cleaner", some other fine applications out there contain the word "Cleaner" in their name and by "cleaning" they imply that the data is "erased".
Rons Data Cleanser does much more: it edits and sorts data, modifies rows and columns through merging and splitting for example, and can also erase data. It basically does any alteration to a file that it is set up to do. We feel that the word "cleansing" will help prevent any misunderstanding.
We still have decided to keep the names of "Cleaners" for the sets of rules that can be saved within the application, because once downloaded and visualized, the purpose of Rons Data Cleanser should be clear to the user.
